Ad Hoc Service We will happily undertake any other repair or service that your vessel requires from battery to bilge pump replacement, power pole installation to a new marine radio. Baldwin County Boatworks strongly believe in and practice preventive maintenance. We recognize that regular and timely servicing of your boat and marine equipment is essential in order to minimize leisure time interruptions. This typically involves the coordination of several different service technicians. On behalf of our boat customers, we will coordinate and execute the timely and cost effective completion of these services and keep you updated along the way. Leveraging the volume of boats that we represent and the relationships that we maintain ensures that Baldwin County Boatworks customers receive prompt and cost effective service. Services include but are not limited to: Annual Service If your boat is new or nearly new we typically recommend using certified main dealer technicians to protect your warranty with the manufacturer. If your boat falls outside of its warranties we recommend using one our trusted network of marine technicians whose labor rate is typically half of a main dealer. Winterization Winterization and de winterization should be a critical part of you annual service schedule. Failing to complete this at the end of the summer and prior to the winter puts your boat and its systems at a greater of failure come the spring. Electronic Installations and Repairs Looking to upgrade your Garmin, Simrad, Raymarine, Lowrance or B&G on board electronics? We have worked with nearly all of them and if we haven’t we know someone who has! We can advice, guide and help you purchase the right system for the right price and get it installed for a fraction of what a main dealer would charge. If in addition to a routine service if there are any other work items or repairs that you would like addressed we will happily arrange and coordinate these on your behalf. From trailer servicing, boat cleaning, boat lift servicing to re-engining and the installation of a new t-top, we’ve got it covered.
Store your vessel safely with us and when your ready to enjoy it, make one call and that’s all! We will meet you at the dock, gassed up and ready to go complete with everything you’ll need including groceries, ice and drinks! Best of all, when your done… we will meet you at the dock handle the mess, and take care of the rest. Our storage facility and concierge service makes owning a boat a hobby, not a headache.
Depending on your requirements we will coordinate and execute the safe storage of your boat at one of our storage facilities. Our base service includes; collection from her slip, removal from the water and transportation to storage location. Choose between: -Secure outside storage -Secure covered storage with power and water Additional services include: -Full hull and top side pressure wash -Rinse, wash and dry of all surfaces including lockers -Apply protective wax to hull, topside and vinyl cushions -Install chemical dehumidifiers in lockers and interior. -Monthly charge of batteries -Winterization of engine(s) and fresh water system as necessary As part of the service we will check on her monthly, change out chemical dehumidifiers as necessary to keep your interiors and lockers mould free, rotate trailer wheels, bearings and brake systems to prevent ceasing and long term damage. Prior to long periods of storage we recommend that you consider winterizing your engine(s) and fresh water system, cleaning/detailing and dehumidifying your boat. We also provide boat storage as part of our winter management package. *Storage requires that all boats have their own trailers. RoadKing trailer pricing available on request.
With the ever changing and unpredictable nature of the weather along the Gulf Coast, Baldwin County Boatworks has developed an “SOS” service that allows boat owners to simply say the word and we will safely extract their boat from the water and deliver to a pre determined storage location in preparation for adverse weather. We will happily provide this as a standalone service or as part of full management package. If you live out of town you may choose to have Baldwin County Boatworks make the decision on your behalf to remove or remain in the water. Rest assured we will make a very CONSERVATIVE and EARLY decision. Typically our customers choose to protect their boats from June through to November. Whether you’ve bought a new boat and simply want an extra pair of hands to help you and your family feel more confident on the water, or if you want to fine tune your boat handling skills before the summer, we’d be happy to help. We can deliver boating lessons to any or all members of your family. Perhaps you would like mom to feel more confident at the helm, or maybe your kids are fourteen or over and asking for the keys! Baldwin County Boatworks can help you, and your family, build their knowledge and develop the confidence needed in order to maximize the safe use of your boat. Captain Dustin Reed is available to help you with any aspect of boating. He comes highly certified, personable and above all, patient! Boating Lessons / Instruction Available by the hour, 1/2 day or for a full day, we can give you an introduction to safe boating or help you with one troublesome aspect of boat handling. Boat Deliveries Whether you are looking to relocate your boat by land or water let the Captain ensure the safe, timely and cost effective relocation of your boat. We will happily take full responsibility for your delivery or step aboard to assist. We also work with fully insured independent haulage companies should your relocation be across land. Fishing Guides We have partnered with local Captains who will help you execute a safe inshore or offshore fishing trip aboard your boat or welcome you aboard theirs.
